What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Registration Clerk Scheduling Lead position at Coastal Communities Physician Network?
Under the direction of the Manager of Clinics, this position is responsible for guiding new PRC staff in all scheduling duties, providing reeducation to existing staff, assisting the Quality Management department with tasks and projects identifying opportunities for process improvement within the Clinics. The PRC Scheduling Lead will interact with other departments, clinic personnel, and outside providers in a professional and friendly manner, to create and maintain a positive relationship with our internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of requirements and expectations of all Patient Registration Clerk positions.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures of all departments.
- Ability to give clear and concise instructions to staff.
- Manage all pre-employment scheduling.
- Coordinate with NextGen department in facilitating continuing NextGen scheduling training.
- Ongoing assessment of clinic staff to ensure proper training and resources are available.
- Provide refresher training as needs are identified.
- Assistance in corrective action planning (CAP) if necessary and adherence to those CAPs as indicated.
- Develop and monitor department workflow standards to ensure efficiency and promote quality patient care and safety.
- Review existing NextGen templates/documents and identify/request additional templates/documents as needed.
- Assists in peer reviews of staff members.
- Assist Clinic Management in maintaining and updating policies and procedures as applicable for clinic scheduling functions.
- Assist Clinic Management in creating an agenda regarding any front office issues for monthly staff meetings.
- Facilitate scheduling of annual senior wellness visits to maximize HCC capture for staff model providers.
- Assist the Quality Management Department with special outreach projects for quality performance measures as needed.
- Ability to float to other clinics as needed to cover patient registration clinics as needed.
- Collaborate with centralized scheduling to ensure consistent patient scheduling across the organization.
- Other duties as requested.
Requirements:
8.1 Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
8.2 Must have a minimum of 3- years of Patient Registration Clerk experience.
8.3 Must have a minimum of 2-years of NextGen EMR experience.
8.4 Valid CA Driver's License and current vehicle insurance with a clean driving record.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be reasonably between $28.05 and $33.00. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Compensation: Between $28.05 and $33.00
