Job Title: Apartment Cleaner (Turnovers & Common Areas)

Reports To: Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to handle apartment turnovers and maintain the cleanliness of common areas within apartment buildings. The ideal candidate will ensure that vacated units are cleaned thoroughly and ready for new residents, and that shared spaces are kept clean, safe, and welcoming for all tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

Apartment Turnovers:

• Clean and sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, and bedrooms in vacated units.
• Dust and wipe all surfaces including baseboards, window sills, and fixtures.
• Vacuum and/or mop all flooring, carpets, and tiles.
• Clean appliances (refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, etc.) inside and out.
• Remove trash and any leftover items.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages to management.

Common Areas:

• Clean lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, laundry rooms, and mail areas.
• Wipe down handrails, doorknobs, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and carpets.
• Empty trash and recycling bins in public areas.
• Maintain cleanliness around entrances and exits.
• Restock supplies in shared restrooms if applicable.

Qualifications:

• Previous cleaning experience, especially in residential or commercial buildings, preferred.
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a team.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks, including bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.

Schedule & Availability:

• Monday - Friday 8am-2:30pm, with flexibility to work until 4:30pm

Compensation:

• $18.00-$19.00 per hour
