LEAD Merchandiser/Retail Stocker

Schedule: Rotating Schedule working 7:30am - 4:30pm (and as needed), generally working Tuesday-Saturday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Assist the sales and delivery departments by servicing and merchandising retail accounts in the best professional manner possible. Responsible for stocking and merchandising various  products ensuring that all beverage sections, racks, and displays are completely filled, POS neat, clean and current and displays maintained according to Coastal Beverage Company's standards.

2.    This is a field-based role requiring consistent presence in customer accounts throughout the day during designated standard business hours to ensure customer satisfaction.

3.    Assist with training new merchandisers.

4.    Lead or assist with store resets.

5.    Cover large format open sales routes as needed.

6.    Conduct surveys of accounts as requested.

7.    Attend sales meetings; complete craft and wine training; view playbooks. 

8.    Responsible for regular and punctual attendance to ensure product is delivered timely to           CBC customers.

9.    All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2.    Possess education equivalent to a high school diploma plus at least 1 year of merchandiser or sales experience.

3.    Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. 

4.    Possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

5.    Possess basic mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Possess the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

6.    Possess ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  

7.    Possess computer skills requiring knowledge e-mail software, and Internet. 

8.    Possess the ability to maintain regular and punctual in-person attendance to support merchandising operations and service customer accounts.

9.    Possess ability to drive, valid driver’s license, and a driving record compliant with company standards.

Employees must frequently push, pull, reach below knee, reach above shoulder, handle, grasp, lift cases up to 46 pounds, and talk.

Occasionally (<34% of workday)

Employees must occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist of trunk, lift, push and pull exerting forces up to 90 pounds (pallet jack), finger and pinch.
