Job Summary
Coastal Bend Work Ready is seeking a dedicated Job Coach to empower individuals in achieving their employment goals and fostering independence. In this vital role, you will provide coaching and support to students at various job sites in Corpus Christi.
This part-time position will be for the 2026-2027 school year, and will total 16 hours per week. The required schedule will be Monday-Thursday from 9:00AM-11:00AM, and 12:30PM-2:30PM. Great position for retirees.
Support will be 1:1 at assigned job sites in the community. Students will be transported by the school, but Job Coaches must provide own transportation.
The program will begin in September after Labor Day, and will continue through the end of the school year.
Duties
- Provide job coaching and support to foster confidence and skill development in job readiness, workplace behaviors, and social skills.
- Support clients in navigating workplace environments by teaching job duties and communication skills.
- Maintain documentation of client progress while ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with privacy standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with youth or adults with disabilities is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor effectively across different age groups and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to manage conflicts constructively while maintaining a positive and motivating approach.
