Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained throughout the project.
- Assist with construction activities including horizontal drilling, paving, tanker operations, and water management to support project timelines.
- Collaborate with team members to execute construction plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and work progress for project documentation.
- Support other heavy equipment operations as needed, including loader operation, grader operation, and water truck handling to ensure smooth workflow across all phases of construction.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently and report any hazards or incidents immediately to supervisors.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery including excavators (especially Caterpillar models), dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and horizontal drilling equipment.
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active sites with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving large vehicles such as dump trucks and tanker trucks.
- Solid understanding of construction site procedures and safety standards.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly.
- Familiarity with construction materials and processes such as paving, grading, excavation, and water management techniques.

Pay: $22.83 - $30.50 per hour
