What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Associate- Part-time position at Coastal Bend Blood Center?
The Coastal Bend Blood Center is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist in the Donor Services Department. This position will help assure daily collections are met by promoting the blood center and blood drives and focusing on customer service within the Coastal Bend Blood Center’s service area to provide a safe and adequate blood supply to patients in our community.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
- Administer donor satisfaction and customer service focused surveys and follow through with results
- Register donors
- Operate line control at blood drives
- Recruit and schedule blood donors by telephone increasing the donor base and frequency to achieve blood center collection goals while meeting required performance indicators.
- Assist with Donor Room front desk reception duties for collections
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Tele recruiting experience or call-center experience is preferred. Experience in achieving predefined measurable results. Strong clerical and customer service skills required.
Skills:
- Must be able to provide a high level of customer service and donor care
- Frequent interaction with the community, requiring strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with all staff levels
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and customer relations skills Basic computer skills
Working Conditions:
Continual climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions and finger/hand use. Pushing and pulling are occasionally required. Extensive periods of donor interaction. Ability to lift 30 pounds.
