Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write detailed repair orders and estimates using auto service management software, ensuring clarity and accuracy
- Communicate effectively with technicians about vehicle issues, repair procedures, and parts requirements
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission services to maximize customer value
- Manage customer inquiries regarding vehicle diagnostics, repair timelines, and cost estimates with transparency and professionalism
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining detailed records of all service sales and payments
- Coordinate with parts departments to ensure timely availability of necessary components for repairs
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or auto service management background with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of all backgrounds
- Knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, air brakes, alignment, shocks & struts, tire service, diesel engine repair, and suspension systems
- Skilled in auto estimating software and sales techniques to promote additional services confidently
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience working as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Familiarity with dealership operations involving vehicle maintenance scheduling and automobile sales processes
- Bilingual a plus
