Unarmed Security Officer - Night Shift

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate is observant, professional, and committed to providing exceptional service while responding effectively to a variety of situations. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging circumstances.

Duties:

• Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas and monitor surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of the property.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, investigating disturbances and taking appropriate action.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, screening visitors, and enforcing established security protocols.
• Perform regular inspections to identify potential security risks, safety hazards, or unauthorized activity, and report findings as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and guests with information, directions, and general support.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior, security concerns, or incidents to the appropriate personnel or law enforcement authorities.
• Work collaboratively with law enforcement, emergency responders, and internal teams during incidents and investigations.
• Accurately document all security-related activities, incidents, and observations by completing detailed reports and maintaining organized records.

Qualifications:

• Valid Florida Class D Security Officer License (required).
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferred.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications are a plus.
• Strong understanding of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and best practices.
• Experience operating CCTV systems, access control systems, and other security or surveillance equipment.
• Excellent observational skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm, exercise sound judgment, and respond effectively in high-pressure situations, conflicts, or emergencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, employees, visitors, and law enforcement.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and consistently adhere to site-specific post orders, policies, and procedures.
