We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer / Controls Engineer to support system programming, integration, testing, and commissioning.
Position Overview
The PLC Programmer will be responsible for developing and supporting PLC control systems, HMI interfaces, and automation logic for custom-built control panels and integrated automation systems. This role requires strong experience in Allen-Bradley and/or Schneider Electric PLC platforms, Ladder Logic programming, and troubleshooting industrial automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and modify PLC programs using Allen-Bradley and Schneider PLC platforms
· Program primarily using Ladder Logic
· Configure and troubleshoot ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and Modicon PLC systems
· Integrate PLC systems with VFDs, pumps, sensors, instrumentation, and motor control
· Assist with HMI development and configuration
· Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and system validation
· Troubleshoot PLC programs and field devices
· Review electrical schematics and perform I/O mapping
· Support startup and commissioning of systems
· Work closely with engineering and panel fabrication teams
Required Experience
· 3–5 years of PLC programming experience
· Strong experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley PLCs
· Experience programming with Studio 5000 / RSLogix
· Proficiency in Ladder Logic
· Ability to read electrical schematics and control panel drawings
· Experience integrating PLC systems with VFDs, motor control, and instrumentation
Preferred Experience
· Experience with Schneider Electric Modicon PLC systems
· Experience with EcoStruxure Control Expert / Unity Pro
· HMI programming experience (FactoryTalk View or similar)
· Industrial networking experience (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Modbus TCP)
· Experience supporting FAT, startup, and commissioning
· Experience working with UL508A control panels
