- Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and patients.
- Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects of care.
- Performs bedside point of care testing as required.
- Utilizes healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies and procedures in delivery of care.
- Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs.
- Consults with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues and discharge planning.
- Participates in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities.
- Promotes a safe, clean and secure hospital environment.
- Recognizes data from complex situations to determine priorities for care.
- Collaborates with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care.
- Identifies and addresses cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care.
- Reads journals to assess applicability of new knowledge to practice.
- Job Requirements
- One (1) year of nursing experience required.
- Nursing Diploma OR ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing required.
- BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing preferred.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required.
- Schedule Information
- Variable shift.
- 12 hours per day.
- 36 hours per week.
- Unit Specific Information
- Float Pool unit, providing nursing care across multiple units as needed.
Salary : $1,984
