Role Description
This PART TIME CONTRACT Deckhand role is based in THE PORT OF LOS ANGELES. The Deckhand will play a vital role in supporting vessel operations, including maintaining cleanliness, assisting with rigging, ensuring passenger safety and comfort, and efficiently managing onboard tasks. The position also requires active communication and collaboration with crew members and passengers to support a smooth and safe operation.
Qualifications
- Experience with vessel operations, including maintenance tasks and general boat handling
- Knowledge of rigging and proper utilization of equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills to ensure passenger safety and satisfaction
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a maritime environment
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor in a marine setting
- Prior maritime experience and knowledge of relevant safety regulations are highly desirable
- Possession of relevant certifications, such as a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), is a plus
