What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAT Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at Coast Equipment Rental?
Coast Equipment Rentals is a family owned heavy equipment rental yard.
We have one location and have been in business for over 40 years. Our inventory primarily consists of Cat Equipment.
As we continue to grow, we find ourselves in need of another Cat certified mechanic.
We are not corporate... we are the last of the old school family businesses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Possess tooling required by the service department
- Disassemble and assemble machines/components. Recondition/repair as required.
- Perform diagnostics and organize appropriate repair procedures.
- Work in the field
Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour

- Are you familiar with SIS Web (Parts Look Up Database for CAT)?
- Are you able to plug in and diagnose codes?

- Do you know how to rebuild a cylinder?
