Coast has an opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our team of construction professionals based in Arlington, WA. This is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities include

• Reads and interprets drawings, specifications and RFQ documents for prospective projects.
• Responds timely and thoroughly to bid requests, ensuring bid packages are complete and consistent.
• Develops labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates for prospective projects and develops estimates incorporating all costs for review by company leadership.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, material prices, and industry trends.
• Track historical cost data to improve future estimates.
• Proficient in organizing and assembling estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Defines work scope solicit and select subcontractors.
• Develop preliminary work schedules.
• Highly involved with project team’s preconstruction and early construction handoffs.
• Maintains a high degree of integrity, loyalty and honesty by not divulging confidential information pertaining to Coast’s operations or bids.
• Has developed important relationships with subcontractors that help in winning work.
• Proficient in presenting estimates to an owner.
• Seeking new work opportunities or improving existing systems or processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management/3 to 5 years of commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Proven expertise with estimating/accounting software (e.g., Sage, Bluebeam, Building Connect or other project management software).
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
