Position Overview:We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our team, initially in a part-time role with the potential to grow into a full-time position. This role will support the Senior Accountant in various accounting tasks, with the opportunity to develop into a more senior position over time.Key Responsibilities:Assist with full cycle accounting processes, including billing, payment processing, AR/AP oversight, and GL account coding.Support the preparation of periodic financial reports, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Help maintain and reconcile accounting records and assist with month-end close procedures.Provide support in ensuring compliance with relevant local, state, and federal government requirements.Respond to accounting-related inquiries from clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.Support the external audit and tax preparation processes.Help with the oversight and management of third-party accounting vendors.Perform additional accounting tasks as needed and grow into more responsibilities over time, including assisting in payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate execution.Required Qualifications and Skills:1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (entry-level candidates with relevant education will also be considered)Strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to communicate effectively, both in writing and verballyProficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)Strong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyA proactive approach to learning and adapting in a growing roleAble to work from office 4 days a weekPreferred Qualifications and Skills:Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experienceProficiency in Google SuiteDesired Attributes:Eagerness to grow into a more senior role and take on increased responsibilitiesAbility to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with deadlinesComfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environmentAdditional Information:This role is designed for someone who is looking to develop their accounting career and take on increasing responsibilities within our department.
