We have positions available in Hudson, Chatham, Germantown, Ghent, Stuyvesant, Taghkanic, and Valatie
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on program site) Additional $2.00/hour weekend shift differential
Position Overview
As a Substitute Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our Residential Services program, you will provide essential support to individuals living in a group home setting on an as-needed basis.
Substitute DSPs play a vital role in ensuring continuity of care by covering open shifts, callouts, vacations, and staffing needs - especially during afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
Your role includes assisting with:
- Personal care and daily routines
- Meal preparation and household tasks
- Medication administration (after certification)
- Supporting individuals in community outings and activities
- Creating a safe, respectful, and home-like environment
You'll help individuals build life skills, maintain independence, and engage meaningfully in their homes and communities.

Schedule & Flexibility
This is a per diem (substitute) position ideal for individuals seeking flexible scheduling.
Shifts may include:
- Afternoon/Evening shifts (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
- Overnight shifts
- Weekend day or evening shifts
- Extended weekend shifts
Substitutes can pick up shifts based on availability and program needs. Weekend and evening availability is strongly preferred.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (TASC) preferred.
- Exceptional communication and computer skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to be certified in all required trainings.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- One-year experience working with people with disabilities (preferred).
