We are seeking a detail-oriented Referral Specialist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Coordinates patient referrals to outside providers and services.
- Obtains and processes prior authorizations as needed.
- Schedules referral appointments and communicates details to patients.
- Tracks and closes the referral loop by confirming completion and updating records.
- Follows up with providers and patients to ensure continuity of care.
- Documents referral activity in the EHR system.
- Answers patient calls and routes clinical concerns appropriately.
- Assists with diagnostic scheduling and follow-up services.
- Schedules and coordinates patient events and outreach activities.
- Assists with administrative paperwork and documentation.
- Maintains organized work areas and supports team operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in an outpatient setting preferred.
- Experience with referrals, scheduling, or authorizations preferred.
- Computer efficiency, including electronic health records required.
- Must have the ability to work in a team setting.
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
