We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sober Living House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our sober living facility. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, support residents in their recovery journey, and ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. This role requires strong supervisory skills, crisis intervention capabilities, and experience in behavioral health or social work. The House Manager will serve as a key point of contact for residents, staff, and community partners, promoting positive behavioral management and compliance with program policies.
The house manager will also work in the role of therapist if they have a masters degree or a supportive counsleor if they have a bacheloer degree. They will also provide some case management services. The home would be located within Wayne or Cabell County, and our main office is located in Fort Gay, WV. They would be required to work both in the home and out of our office.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities within the sober living house, ensuring adherence to house rules and recovery guidelines
- Provide crisis intervention and conflict management to address resident issues promptly and effectively
- Facilitate intake processes for new residents, including documentation and initial assessments
- Monitor resident progress through case management practices and coordinate necessary services such as addiction counseling or behavioral health support
- Administer medications as needed following proper protocols and maintain accurate medication administration records
- Conduct regular safety checks to ensure security of the facility and residents’ well-being
- Maintain detailed data collection, filing, and data entry related to resident progress, incident reports, and administrative documentation
- Assist with behavioral management strategies to promote a supportive environment conducive to recovery
- Coordinate with external agencies for home & community care services and LIHTC compliance when applicable
- Lead group meetings, facilitate communication among residents, staff, and external service providers
Qualifications
- Supervising experience in a residential or social services setting preferred
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and conflict management strategies
- Background in addiction counseling, behavioral health, social work, or related fields is highly desirable
- Experience with case management, intake procedures, medication administration, and data entry required
- Bacheslor or masters degree in a human service related field.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents and team members
- First aid certification preferred; ability to respond calmly during emergencies
- Experience with home & community care programs or LIHTC regulations is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion
- Previous experience in security or childcare is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
