We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ functional abilities through comprehensive evaluations, including analysis of physiology, anatomy, and medical history
- Develop personalized care plans targeting activities of daily living (ADLs), motor skills, cognitive functions, and sensory processing
- Assist patients with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings
- Work with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder to implement therapeutic strategies tailored to their needs
- Conduct therapy sessions in various environments including outpatient clinics, schools, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health visits
- Engage in case management activities to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques to support ongoing improvement
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the respective jurisdiction
- Prior experience working with birth-3 year old is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with early intervention programs and pediatric populations including school-based therapy
- Familiarity with post-acute care environments like skilled nursing facilities and home health services
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care principles
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus
- Ability to develop effective care plans and engage in case management activities effectively
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients and families

Work Location: in Fort Gay, WV 25514 if in clinical but if with Birth to 3 it would be in the clients' homes normally within 30 minutes of your home or our office.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
