Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scheduler with a strong background in LNG or Combined Cycle projects. In this contract role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing a project schedule to ensure timely execution and alignment with project scope, budget, and risk objectives. This position requires advanced Primavera P6 expertise, strong analytical and reporting skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with project controls, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
This position will be based on site (5 days per week) with an option to work 9/80s, and will require initial travel to The Woodlands, TX before mobilizing to the assigned project site outside Jackson, MS .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules for all project phases, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Monitor project progress, update schedules, and perform critical path and what-if analyses to identify potential risks and delays.
- Support the Stage Gate process by ensuring schedule deliverables are accurate, compliant, and complete prior to phase advancement.
- Provide schedule forecasts and performance metrics to project leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cost control, risk management, and project management teams to integrate schedule data and support executive reporting.
- Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports, dashboards, and variance analyses.
- Participate in change order evaluations, schedule recovery plans, and risk workshops.
- Ensure scheduling practices align with organizational standards, PMI, and EPC best practices.
Qualifications
- 10 years of scheduling experience in large-scale EPC projects.
- Proven background in LNG or Combined Cycle power generation projects.
- Demonstrated experience using the Stage Gate process.
- Expert proficiency in Primavera P6; experience with SAP or other project management tools preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- PMI-SP or equivalent scheduling certification preferred.
