Busy and growing plastic surgery practice seeking a full-time, experienced MA to join our team. We are looking for a well-rounded, dedicated medical professional who wants to grow with our practice. Qualified candidate should have previous MA experience in a fast paced physician practice. Knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge with EMR systems, ability to multitask, friendly and caring personality, knowledge of HIPAA regulations, ability to work well with others and a team player. Essential duties or responsibilities:
· Rooming patients and preparing them for physician examination
· Collect vital signs and history and enter into EMR record
· Process and send out labs
· Set up equipment and assist physician during examinations and office procedures
· Maintain timely flow of patients
· Telephone triage
· Clean and sterilize instruments
· Clean and stock rooms with necessary supplies
· Order medical supplies
· Inventory documentation
· Insurance verification and authorization
· Create patient charts, pre-op and post-op packets
· Take patient photos
· Create surgical fee schedules
· Maintain patient photograph library
· Front office duties PRN for staff coverage

This is a full-time position which offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid vacation and sick time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Flexible schedule on surgery days beginning at 7:30 a.m.)
Experience:
- Medical Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
Education/Experience/ Knowledge:
High school diploma or (GED). Maintain certified or registered medical assistant certification.
Other Expectations:
- Ability to communicate with patients and co-workers in a friendly, positive, and respectful manner
- Must have a good attitude towards patients and work staff
- Committing to 5 days a week in 8 hours staggered shifts
- Willingness to obtain influenza vaccine year
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
