Coahoma County School District is seeking to hire a part-time Operations Director. The job goal is to provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for the operational functions of the district with primary responsibility for ensuring that the Transportation and Maintenance Departments operate safely, efficiently, effectively and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, Board policies, and district procedures.
The qualifications include:
1) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
2) Minumum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in operations, facilities management, transportation, maintenance, logistics, or a related area preferred.
3) Demonstrated experience supervising personnel and managing multiple operational fuctions.
4) Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.
5) Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, safety requirements, and district policies related to school operations.
6) Ability to develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets and operational expenditures.
7) Ability to establish priorities, develop systems, monitor implementation, and hold personnel accountable for results and able to analyze operational needs and recommend short-term and long-term solutions.
8) Must possess a valid Mississippi driver's license.
9) Alternative or supplemental qualifications as the Superintendent and Board of Trustees may find appropriate and necessary.
