What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Swim Instructor position at Coach Dan's Swim School?
We are looking for qualified swim instructors to join our team! We teach outdoor swim lessons, in small group settings (3 kids max), to children ages 1 - 12. Water safety, family fun, and cognitive development is what our business is all about.
The swim instructor position would require 2 - 4 shifts per week, Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs from 3pm - 8pm (10 - 20 hours per week). We have 3 locations in Phoenix, AZ (Desert Ridge, Norterra, and Surprise). Start ASAP and join our fall season as a paid trainee! Our goal is to train a new instructor this fall, so we can have them ready for our 2027 swim seasons which run from early April through mid-October.
No swimming experience is necessary, but we prefer candidates with swim school teaching experience.
We believe that teaching children is a significant professional responsibility, and our compensation is very competitive accordingly. We don't have substitute teachers, we'd rather invest in high-quality, professional, dependable staff. The expectation is that you'll be able to show up consistently to your shifts.
