Summary:
A well-regarded litigation firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney with at least three years of experience handling insurance defense matters in New York State. This is a great opportunity for attorneys who enjoy direct client interaction, regular court appearances, and meaningful responsibility over cases from inception through trial and appeal. Those with interest in municipal liability or Section 1983 litigation may expand their practice within the firm.

What You’ll Do:

• Handle in-person court appearances in state and federal courts throughout the NYC metro area
• Manage auto and premises liability cases from start to finish, including motion practice and appeals
• Conduct and defend depositions and negotiate settlements
• Communicate regularly with clients, carriers, and claims representatives
• Track billable hours and contribute to firm goals
• Optional involvement in municipal liability and coverage matters

Experience You’ll Need:

• Minimum 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience in New York State
• Admission to the New York State Bar (Federal Bar admission a plus)
• Must be comfortable with depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
• Strong writing, advocacy, and litigation skills
