Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle custodial tasks such as trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and surface sanitation to ensure a hygienic environment
- Operate commercial cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums with adherence to safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing attention and ensure compliance with sanitation standards
- Safely handle chemical agents following chemical handling safety procedures and maintain proper storage of cleaning supplies
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs as needed
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and manual handling activities to prevent injury and ensure safe lifting practices
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel
Qualifications
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with floor care processes including buffing, polishing, and floor maintenance tools
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and work independently or as part of a team
