Maintenance Mechanic – Manufacturing Facility
Location: Delavan, WI
Shift: 1st and 2nd shift available
Hours: 40–45 hours/week rotating on-call schedule
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, self-directed Maintenance Mechanic to support a manufacturing facility in Delavan, WI. This role requires strong hands-on knowledge of industrial electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a practical problem solver who understands how systems work, takes ownership of repairs and installations, and applies safe, code-aware practices in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, including 480V power, control circuits, and PLC-controlled equipment
- Diagnose and correct issues with three-phase motors, electrical distribution, and grounding systems
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control prints
- Support new equipment installations, including:
- Running electrical power
- Verifying conductor sizing and grounding
- Ensuring proper wiring practices and system functionality
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and piping systems, including threaded pipe connections
- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate documentation
- Prioritize work orders and respond effectively to unplanned downtime
- Promote and follow all industrial safety standards and best practices
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support off-hours maintenance needs
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Must own a basic set of hand tools up to 1"
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues logically and independently
- Demonstrated experience with:
- 480V electrical systems and three-phase power
- Electrical panels, control voltage systems, and transformers
- PLC-controlled machinery and industrial controls
- Ability to safely size, install, and verify electrical conductors and grounding
- Experience reading and applying technical documentation and machine requirements
- Knowledge of threaded pipe systems, fittings, and industrial piping practices
Preferred (but not required):
- Welding and fabrication
- Hydraulics, pneumatics, and heat exchange units
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 1st and 2nd shift available
- Average 40–50 hours per week
Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:
- High heat
- Dust and airborne particles
- Industrial materials and chemicals
- High noise levels
Candidates must be physically capable of working in a dirty, dusty, and industrial setting while safely performing all essential job functions.
Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
