We continue to grow so we can provide our customers the best service and be a great place to work.The is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of Monday - Friday early day shift starting around 6:00 am. Depending on customer needs overtime hours might occasionally be required either by additional daily hours or added weekend shifts.The Dispatcher works in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment focused on planning, scheduling and coordinating the daily activities of our Local Delivery and Transport Driver teams. This is a key position focused on the efficient and cost-effective delivery of products to our customers. COMPENSATIONStarting wage is between $24 & $27 per hour - depending on experience and qualificationsMedical, Dental, Vision and Life insurancePaid Time Off (PTO) 16 days per yearSeven (7) paid holidays401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match after eligibility periodEmployee discounts on fuelAnnual bonus potential based on meeting performance goalsJOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe Dispatcher will be responsible to:Coordinate, organize and execute the scheduling and routing of driver assignmentsPlan and execute driver routing/delivery assignment changes as needed based on real-time updatesAct as the first point of contact for internal and external Dispatch department customers - respond to calls and emails in a timely mannerMonitor various inventory management systems to schedule deliveriesCoordinate with the Sales department to provide pricing and inventory data as requestedAssist department manager in monitoring supplier pricing to ensure profitabilityDrive continuous improvement in applicable systems and processesOther duties that may be assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalentOne (1) year of dispatching experienceFamiliarity with the Boise, Treasure Valley and surrounding areasDriving record: no more than one (1) moving violation or at-fault accident in the last three (3) yearsAbility to effectively manage detail oriented tasks to achieve department/company goals and expectations in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work collaboratively with other departments and provide excellent service to internal and external customersAbility to write, read and interpret routine reports and documentsAbility to read and understand documents related to sales orders, customer orders, inventory management, delivery routes, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, company policies and proceduresAbility to operate a standard computer (keyboard, mouse, printer) including dispatching, inventory management, e-mail, spreadsheet and word processing softwarePossess basic math skills including all units of measurement in fractions and decimalsPossess excellent skills in the following areas: Customer Service, Problem Solving, Planning, Organizing, Quality Control, Dependability, Safety and SecurityPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSOne (1) or more years of dispatching experience in a fuel and/or hazardous materials transportation settingExperience as a CMV/CDL driverExperience as a CMV/CDL driver with Hazmat/fuel industry experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWork setting will be split between an office and warehouse environment.Warehouse temperatures vary widely from cold to hot.Sitting at computer workstation - ConstantlyWalking and standing on hard floor surfaces - RegularlyLifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and twisting up to 35 lbs. - OccasionallyClimbing ladders/stairs to access various types of delivery trucks - Occasionally
