A Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspecting the compliance of manufactured products and/or processes to established standards and controlled documentation. They record any deviations and report concerns to the group leader and the Director of Quality Assurance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Read and understand customer notes, drawings, bills of material and CO-AX’s process.
- Use precision measuring tools or equipment (Examples: ohmmeter, or calipers).
- Read and understand values of components.
- Inspect the first piece of a product when a new product is started and when a shift is changed.
- Inspect products and work for conformance to specifications.
- Examines PCB to detect defects, for example shorts, breaks, excess or missing solder, scratches, cracks, incorrect parts, and incorrect placement with appropriate magnification.
- Scrap or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
- Mark items with details such as acceptance or rejection status.
- Write inspection reports describing results, recommendations, and needed repairs.
- Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
- Report any situations that may contribute to a quality or safety problem.
- Discuss inspection results with supervisors and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- Other activities as required.
Qualifications Profile:
- Professional demeanor and appearance while working within an ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 environment.
- Detail oriented and possess excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work constructively with individuals at all levels of responsibility.
- Basic computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with, or ability to quickly learn collaboration tools such as SharePoint.
- Work as a member of a team to help achieve company goals and objectives.
Education and Experience:
- A high school education (prefer some college, quality or technical training).
- Quality inspection experience and/or willingness to learn the position.
- Familiar with measuring instruments and devices.
- Previous experience working in an electronic manufacturing environment is desired, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
