THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, Position Description Number D2325000 and D2240P01 is part of the CO 140 AMXS, National Guard.

This position works within an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Maintenance Group, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron or Maintenance Squadron that supports aircraft.

Qualifications:

Military Grades: E-1 thru E-6

Compatible Military Assignments:2A3X4, 2A3X5, or 2A9X4 AFSC

1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.

Must have at least 18 months of experience in each of the following for the WG-12:
1. Experience involving installing, modifying, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, aligning, calibrating, and rebuilding multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions.
2. Experience performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi-complex electronic integrated systems.
3. Experience in conducting operational checks, inspections, tests, trouble shooting, removal and replacement of line replaceable units.
4. Experience solving problems by analyzing installation, circuitry, and operating characteristics of the systems.
5. Experience in working integrated systems such as flight director instrumentation, air data systems, engine indication, hydraulic and fuel quantity indicating systems, VHF/UHF communication, satellite communications, secure voice communications, fire control radar, electronic countermeasures, data links, identification friend or foe, GPS navigation and tactical air navigation system.
6. Experience evaluating operational characteristics of the integrated systems by observing, measuring and analyzing voltage, current, power indications, and computer registers.

Must have at least 18 months of experience in each of the following for the WG-13:
1. Experience reviewing and analyzing maintenance data; determines if criteria are sufficient to provide adequate test, troubleshooting and repair procedures; devises and recommends tests, procedural changes, or data corrections.
2. Experience troubleshooting operational malfunctions and analyzes system performance utilizing aircrew debrief data, Technical Orders, schematic and wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, data analysis, common and system-specific test equipment and built in system tests.
3. Experience in electronic theories and practices to identify, isolate and repair malfunctions in one or more complex integrated systems where knowledge of the entire system is necessary to interpret error data and trace problems back through a number of units of the system to locate deficiencies.

Responsibilities:

WG-12: The primary purpose of this position is to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi-complex electronic integrated systems. Reviews and analyzes maintenance data; determines if criteria are sufficient to provide adequate test, troubleshooting and repair procedures; devises and recommends tests, procedural changes, or data corrections. Troubleshoots operational malfunctions and analyzes system performance utilizing aircrew debrief data, Technical Orders, schematic and wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, data analysis, common and system-specific test equipment and built in system tests. Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures by reporting hardware and software malfunctions, initiates material deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical data, and assists in design changes as necessary. May upload/download chaff/flare dispensers. Performs other duties as assigned.
