Key Responsibilities Instruction & Student Achievement Deliver differentiated instruction aligned to AMS curriculum and Arizona state standards. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Utilize formative and summative assessment data to monitor progress toward IEP and grade-level goals. Provide targeted interventions to accelerate student growth both above and below grade level. Maintain accurate documentation of services, accommodations, and student progress. Collaboration & Communication Partner with general education teachers to ensure appropriate inclusion and accommodations. Facilitate IEP meetings and maintain consistent communication with families regarding student progress. Collaborate with campus leadership, service providers, and support staff to ensure holistic student support. Participate actively in professional learning communities (PLCs), staff meetings, and professional development. Classroom Culture & Compliance Establish a structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment rooted in PBIS and restorative practices. Implement proactive classroom management strategies that support positive scholar behavior. Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and AMS policies. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement aligned to AMS network expectations. Minimum Qualifications Valid Arizona Special Education Certification (or ability to obtain) Bachelor’s degree in Education OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least two years of K–8 teaching experience Ability to obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Experience working with diverse learners, including Title I and ESL populations Strong data analysis and progress-monitoring skills Commitment to implementing structured, research-based curriculum Collaborative mindset with the ability to take initiative and drive results Compensation & Benefits AMS offers a competitive compensation package designed to reward excellence and support professional growth. $10,000 Arizona SPED Certification Bonus – Awarded to educators who hold or obtain a valid Arizona Special Education Certificate.
