Responsible for installing, maintaining and testing the electrical and/or instrumentation systems (power systems, SCADA system and radio communications) for Midstream in the following areas: Central PA, Southwest PA, Northern WV and Eastern Ohio. Must safely and efficiently organize projects and supervise contract employees making sure that materials are available and work is completed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
Target Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning, installation and maintenance of plant instrumentation.
• Assist in the planning, installation and electrical maintenance of natural gas compression.
• Conducts safety inspections and ensures that equipment is used in a safe and responsible manner.
• Coordinate, schedule and supervise the day-to-day electrical operations.
• Anticipate, evaluate and troubleshoot abnormal and/or unusual operating conditions.
• Assists operations to optimize plant availability and maintain daily logs of activities.
• Oversees acquisition of materials and cost control for operation of electrical facilities.
• Utilize diagnostic and testing equipment and interpret results.
• Assign work projects, monitor work in progress and successfully adhere to established timelines and schedules.
• Supervise and perform work needed during station shutdown periods.
• Troubleshoot and maintain VFDs, motors and MCC lineups.
• May require travel.
Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma required. Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology preferred.
• Should have 2-5 years of field experience in oil & gas. Related experience in other fields may be considered.
• Must be a highly safety minded individual, possess supervisory skills, be a motivated “self-starter” and demonstrate a high level of integrity.
• Must be able to read P&ID’S, Loop Drawings, One Lines, schematics and have basic computer skills – including Excel and Word.
• Should have some knowledge in troubleshooting PLCs and be familiar with Allen-Bradley and Modicon protocols.
• Should be familiar with Insource (Wonderware), Vijeo Designer and Allen-Bradley Factory Talk.
• Should have experience working with radio communication systems.
• Should have a working knowledge of all types of instrumentation.
• Must be familiar with instrument calibration equipment, principles and techniques.
• Must be familiar with Hart Communicator for Instrument Calibration and Testing.
• Must have a good understanding of the National Electric Code. Electrical certification/license preferred.
• Must be able and willing to work in adverse weather conditions, shift work, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must possess good communication skills and the ability to work well with others to function as a team.
