Position Summary
The Print & End User Technology Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end management of enterprise print services and employee technology onboarding. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency of the printer fleet while supporting seamless onboarding experiences for new employees. The position combines hands-on technical support with operational oversight, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Print Management & Administration
- Oversee full lifecycle of enterprise printer fleet (deployment, moves/adds/changes, retirements)
- Monitor print volumes, device utilization, and supply levels to optimize cost and placement
- Manage print servers, drivers, firmware updates, and device configurations
- Coordinate with vendors for break/fix support, preventive maintenance, and service delivery
- Enforce printer security standards, compliance policies, and access controls
- Administer print management platforms (e.g., Vasion or similar tools)
- Standardize toner fulfillment processes and device configurations
- Develop and maintain print policies, standards, and user communications
Onboarding & End User Support
- Coordinate and execute new-hire onboarding (hardware setup, access provisioning, readiness)
- Partner with department leads to ensure onboarding tasks are completed on time
- Provide Tier 2 desktop support for onboarding-related issues
- Assist employees with setup, access, and general IT questions during onboarding
- Maintain onboarding tracking systems and ensure data accuracy
Documentation & Operational Excellence
- Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and system documentation
- Maintain inventory records for printers, supplies, and end-user equipment
- Develop diagrams and workflows for print and onboarding processes
- Manage intranet/web-based tools and internal resources related to IT services
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across print and onboarding functions
Reporting & Analytics
- Track service metrics including request volume, backlog, and resolution times
- Analyze print usage and cost trends to identify optimization opportunities
- Generate operational reports using tools such as Power BI
- Provide insights to leadership on efficiency, cost savings, and service improvements
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in print administration, desktop support, or IT operations
- Experience managing enterprise printer environments (HP, Xerox, Canon, Ricoh, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of print servers, drivers, and network printing (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Familiarity with print management platforms (e.g., Vasion, PaperCut, uniFLOW)
- Experience with Windows Environment and Active Directory
- Proven ability to coordinate vendors and manage service delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with onboarding workflows and end-user lifecycle management
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
- Basic scripting (PowerShell) for automation
- Certifications (CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft, or equivalent)
Salary : $1,200 - $1,320
