The Associate Product Owner works under the direction of a Product Owner to support the definition, and prioritization of the product backlog, the setting of quality standards for delivery and maximizing the value of the product/system functionality to achieve business outcomes. They coordinate the work of the Agile Team. The Associate Product Owner works with business stakeholders to elaborate user stories and will partner with the Product Owner to guide face-to-face, remote, or mixed location Agile teams as they define the functional requirements, manage the development sprints, remove roadblocks. This role will communicate between stakeholders, the Product Owner, and development teams to ensure understanding of the product objectives and the product roadmap.
As an Associate Product Owner, your responsibilities will include:

All associates may be asked to travel varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States. As an Associate Product Owner, your responsibilities will include:
- Learn the tools, methodologies, and mindset of Agile, as well as the current functions that constitute our various systems and platforms.
- Support and lead elements of the product management agenda with guidance from the PO.
- Support delivery of the roadmap, maintaining product vision, and strategic plan.
- Support the creation and prioritization of requirements, backlogs, and use cases through customer feedback, interviews, and observations of business stakeholders.
- Guide the team/business in mapping business processes.
- Support the team in developing functionality that makes CNO systems and processes more effective and efficient.
- Actively validate and monitor deliverables to ensure expected results are attained. Test as needed.
- Support the day-to-day management of the project/team including business and training queries, reporting on product performance and issue resolution.
- Act as product expert / champion when engaging with other business areas.
- Creates and analyzes user stories, assesses the risks and impacts on current systems and processes, and recommends appropriate actions. (workflows & wireframes).
- Communicates status, issues, and risks to business partners and leadership team.
- Supports training needs based on system enhancements or implementations.
- Collaborates with leadership and business partners to drive problem solving of existing processes to identify areas of improvement.
- Works with the team to understand product requirements, answering questions to the best of their ability. Actively take part in planning, refinements, reviews, etc.
- Lead agile ceremonies as needed.
- Participate in and/or lead weekend code validation calls.
- Lead and facilitate the design, analysis, recommendation and implementation of large and complex system or process changes.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and other business-related software.
- Working experience in an Agile environment practicing Scrum required.
- Analytical, problem solving, communication to multiple levels of leadership.
- Experience working with geographic and culturally diverse teams.
- Bachelor's Degree or 8 years’ equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of related experience or at least 2 years’ experience working as a business analyst, user acceptance tester, or similar role.
- Working experience in an Agile environment practicing Scrum.
- Analytical, problem solving, communication to multiple levels of leadership.
- Experience working with geographic and culturally diverse teams.
- Master’s degree in business related field.
- 3 years of Medicare Advantage experience.
- Certifications/Licenses: Jira, Miro, and SAFe Agile Methodology.
