You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST for the NAVAL AIR STATION.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing quality monitoring and inspection of new and repaired electrical ALRE and SE systems/equipment such as fiber optic cables, circuit cards, wire harnesses, position sensors, and power supplies; 2) Utilizing checklists, blueprints, test directives, and/or system technical manuals to inspect materials and components under repair/overhaul; 3) Conducting audits of products and processes to ensure compliance and to detect processing and technical documentation deficiencies; 4) Supporting engineering and quality investigations of equipment found to cause problems in the Fleet; and 5) Providing QA advice and/or recommendations to manufacturing or design engineers regarding inspection and test procedures and alternatives to designs, specifications, materials, and production methods or processes.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.Education:

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree;
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree;
OR
Successfully obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled;
OR
You have a combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience.
