This position is located in the Bowling Center within the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department (MWR) at NAS Meridian, MS. The incumbent will perform a variety of cleaning tasks and mechanical maintenance, requiring light physical effort and the use of hand or lightweight power tools and cleaning equipment.Qualifications:

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Must have manual dexterity necessary to make minor corrective adjustments to machinery and replace fixtures.
  • Skill in the use of common hand tools and ability to perform limited preventive maintenance such as cleaning and oiling equipment and conditioning lane surfaces.
  • Ability to use common cleaning materials and equipment and to safely operate and adjust bowling equipment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
