Job Purpose
The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, goods, and services necessary for the company’s operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and working closely with internal departments to meet operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase materials, goods, and services in line with company requirements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and seek new suppliers to meet business needs.
- Track and monitor inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering to avoid production delays.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in the procurement process.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, finance, and logistics) to ensure timely and cost-efficient procurement of goods and services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
