The Role
We are looking for people passionate about both success and the product to manage our Grow Team. to take ownership of grow rooms and care for plants on a daily basis. Being detail oriented, a go-getter, and good at communicating is the name of the game as the Grow Manager. The Grow Manager will not only lead by example, but is also responsible for analyzing the team's work under a microscope and performance managing the team where needed to generate the highest value from every employee to grow the best plants. This role requires consistent collaboration with our experienced grow staff and maintenance technicians to deliver best in class product.
Responsibilities
- Manage a facilities grow rooms and facility upkeep overall
- Manage and mentor grow leads who “own” flower rooms and maintain plant health through daily check-ins, evaluation of plant health and happiness, spot watering of plants, canopy management, and making adjustments to room environment or grow process as needed
- Maintain room awareness throughout all of grow and report weekly on key metrics including environment alignment with Perfect Harvest standards, plant happiness, pest management, and plant or equipment issues seen throughout the grow
- Timely completion of work per schedule and strive to increase productivity through coordinated workflow and process improvement recommendations
- Support other grow team members throughout the grow as needed, including spraying for pest management, supporting colleagues in other grow rooms, or supporting outside of grow rooms
- Ensure grow standards are followed including but not limited to grow task completion, compliance, and cleanliness
- Lead and assist team with continuous improvement of SOPs
- Work with Cultivation Director weekly on upcoming planning to align with grow schedule and propagation timeline
- Review logs and data recorded by grow team for both current and past harvest cycles to continuously improve our grow processes and standards
- Perform all other duties as necessary and any additional duties assigned by your supervisor/manager
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Comfortable managing other employees, directing them to where their help is most needed
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
- Ability to properly assess your team's capabilities and manage each individuals responsibility based on where they will excel the most
- Must have a positive attitude day in and day out and be a reliable role model for the facility
- Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Work effectively with minimal supervision
- Experience in a leadership or management role is a plus, but not required
- Experience in an agricultural setting is a plus, but not required
- Marijuana product knowledge and passion is a plus, but not required
- Serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies, and procedures
- Have strong service and quality focus. Address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand the root cause, then communicate / educate the team in a timely manner.
Additional Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
Physical Demands – Must be able to:
- Work on your feet for 8-10 hours a day besides breaks and lunch
- Work in crouched or uncomfortable positions including repetitive motions for extended periods
of time
- Work in the dark with only green lamps for several hours at a time
- Lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Working Hours:
- M-F: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Overtime as needed
