We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to join our fabrication team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing quality work, and can work independently while collaborating with fellow team members to meet production goals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate LVD and Mitsubishi CNC fiber laser cutting systems
- Create and optimize material nests for maximum efficiency
- Load and unload sheet steel and monitor production throughout the cutting process
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
- Maintain production records and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
- Assist with other fabrication and shop duties as needed to complete customer orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Experience operating LVD, Mitsubishi, or similar CNC laser cutting equipment is preferred
- Experience in steel fabrication or precision manufacturing
- Ability to read blueprints and understand fabrication drawings
- Proficient with measuring tools and quality inspection procedures
- Forklift experience or willingness to become certified
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while functioning as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
