Job Title: Loan Servicer
Department: Loan Operations
Reports To: AVP/Loan Operations Manager
SUMMARY
The Loan Servicer position is responsible for assisting in performing various duties and special projects related to the loan department. Including but not limited to servicing consumer, commercial, updating information on the Bank’s computer system; maintaining and update tracking/UCC filings; monitoring tickler reports and following-up on exceptions. The position of Loan Servicer is required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of servicing loans, and is expected to provide leadership, training, and support to less experienced department personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with insurance renewals including Flood, Hazard, and Liability Insurance
- Assist with updating CORE system tracking with insurance renewals, appraisals, UCC filings and recorded documents.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with Bank policies and operating procedures.
- Review loan files for internal and external audits as required with adherence to deadlines.
- Assist verifying Commercial and Consumer loans after booking.
- Obtain financial information, insurance and other pertinent documentation from customers as necessary per loan policy and loan approvals.
- Prepare financial request correspondence for loan officers bank wide.
- Maintain tracking and ensure accuracy for UCC’s, Flood Insurance, Hazard Insurance etc., bank wide.
- Complete all required training by deadlines.
- Process Loan Payoff Requests, including proper collateral release preparation and filing
- Perform Quarterly Loan File Reviews
- Get all required documents etc. for audits and exams
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School education or GED
- Ability to work well independently and with others.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong interpersonal communication and phone etiquette
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel), including accuracy
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize and follow instruction/meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Spanish-speaking preferred, but not required.
- Lending/banking experience preferred, but not required
Physical Demand and Equipment Used
- Must be able to sit, walk or stand for extended periods
- Must be able to travel to branch locations
- Must be able to travel within town for business related matters (DMV, Title Companies, etc.)
- General Office Environment
