The Role:
We are looking for an organized/self-starter Tax Associate to join our expanding team. This individual thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate directly with clients on data collection, tax return preparation, and research, while gaining firsthand exposure to both business and individual returns and tax planning/advisory. Effective communication/people skills and attention to details are key, as you’ll be interacting directly with current and prospective clients to help ensure a smooth, professional experience from start to finish.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, etc.)
- Meet and collaborate with clients to gather tax documents and clarify questions
- Build relationships with clients and offer end-to-end support
- Assist with bookkeeping and data cleanup in QuickBooks (Online Desktop) as needed
- Maintain accurate workpapers and documentation in Lacerte and Smart Vault
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members via phone, email and Teams
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of tax preparation experience
- Proficiency with Lacerte, Microsoft Office, Google Suite programs, and QuickBooks
- Enrollment Agent License
