What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Financial Analyst position at CNA National?
CNA National is seeking a curious and highly analytical candidate for our senior financial analyst role. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this role will collaborate to develop and produce internal management reporting and financial statement analytics. This role also includes significant responsibility in the annual planning process and ad-hoc analytics. Ideal candidates will have a strong desire to improve processes through automation tools and templates.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in developing the annual operating plan
- Prepare detailed segment and product level financial statements
- Partner with FP&A and Accounting team members to provide insight into financial performance
- Support the financial close process via variance analysis
- Identify, communicate, and perform process improvement projects to drive increasingly efficient reporting and analysis
- Develop and maintain advanced financial reporting and analytical tools using ERP system, Excel and Tableau
- Support the development of presentation materials
- Support development of automated tools and templates to increase efficiency and improve accuracy of reporting
Experience
- At least 4 years in finance and/or accounting roles with demonstrated data and analytical skills
- Strong Excel skills to include complex nested formulas and familiarity with PowerPivot and DAX
- Demonstrated success in process improvement
- Experience with data mining and database tools
- Ability to understand financial data and ensure accuracy through communication and validation
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Data Analytics
