Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Clinic. The ideal candidate will support our practitioner to ensure a high standard of patient care. This position requires a solid background in medical assistance and a keen interest in acupuncture and herbal medicine. The successful candidate will contribute to the clinic’s smooth operation by assisting with clinical procedures, administrative responsibilities, and creating a warm, welcoming environment for patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist the healthcare provider with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms and patients for acupuncture sessions
- Measure vital signs and collect patient medical history
- Support the preparation of herbal medicine according to prescription guidelines
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage scheduling to ensure efficient clinic flow
- Process payments, verify insurance coverage, and perform basic billing tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of acupuncture and herbal medicine is a plus
- Current CPR certification
- Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin is preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $25.00 per hour
