BASE SALARY $45,000, PLUS COMMISSION AND CAR ALLOWANCE
EARNINGS POTENTIAL- Our sales team consistently earns six figures annually through combined base pay and uncapped commissions, with many exceeding this benchmark significantly.
JOB SUMMARY
The Territory Sales Representative builds and maintains a strong relationship with customers, is familiar with the target market and can identify and qualify new sales leads.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their equipment needs; identifies and suggests products and equipment to meet those needs.
- Demonstrates the functions of equipment and products to customers based on their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Provides periodic target account sales forecasts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Requires being on the road traveling full time.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND/OR SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trade show support as needed.
- Develop internal and external processes to standardize demo and rental activity.
- Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to track inventory return on investment.
- Support new business system implementation.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES
- Ability to prospect, build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales opportunities.
- Ability to create and maintain effective and professional relationships with customers, fellow employees, and management including interaction with other company branches.
- Possess excellent communication, listening and negotiation skills
- Time management, relationship management and organizational skills
- Proven work experience and track record as a sales representative, preferably in the heavy equipment industry
- Must be detailed oriented, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision

WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time traveling to their territory to meet with prospective customers in person.
