JOB DEFINITION :
Serving Long Islanders for more than 50 years, CN Guidance & Counseling Services is a leading behavioral health nonprofit agency serving Nassau and Suffolk County residents and their families to overcome mental health and substance use challenges. Our agency has grown to reach more than 30,000 people each year through our 50 programs, and we are seeking a Communications Intern to support our social media, public relations, and related communications efforts starting Spring 2024. The internship will be for approximate 180 hours spread out across the 16-week term (~10-15 hrs. / wk)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Supports and develops public relations plans and activities, including press releases and media advisories / engagement.
- Assists with the company's social media accounts and posts content.
- Brainstorms campaign ideas.
- Monitor various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter).
- Analyzes analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.
- Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
- Provide suggestions to management for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes.
- Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems.
- Assists in creating performance reports
- Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals
- Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed.
- Ability to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views and experiences. A Culture that makes better decisions, drives innovation, and delivers better business results.
- Other duties as assigned.
