The Mortgage Funder/Shipper is responsible for the funding, booking, and shipping of loans, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance throughout the process. This role involves coordinating with internal teams and external investors, handling loan modifications, and tracking post-closing activities to ensure smooth loan delivery and reconciliation. Duties include:
- Coordinate the concurrent funding and booking of loans, preparing documentation for internal processing and external investor delivery. Ensure accurate and timely submission of loan information for purchase and boarding.
- Handle the separation, organization, and export of closing packages and other essential documents. Ensure all necessary documents are reviewed, processed, and sent to the appropriate parties.
- Submit loan data and documentation to investors, including clearing conditions and processing purchase advice. Deliver eNotes or paper notes as required for funding.
- Research and resolve reconciliation issues, updating loan documentation as needed. Manage exception reports, prioritizing items based on urgency and following up on missing or incomplete documents.
- Manage the booking and processing of loan modifications and construction renewals, ensuring all documents are completed and submitted. Track and follow up on key deadlines and missing items related to modifications.
- Monitor the loan pipeline to ensure loans are processed within established timeframes, particularly those in the boarding stage.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in loan funding, shipping or post-closing functions
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of documentation.
- Familiarity with loan origination systems and investor portals.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30 lbs.
