Key Responsibilities:
- Process patient requests for prescription refills, urgent care, equipment, and appointments promptly.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters.
- Coordinate orders for prescriptions, imaging, lab work, and medical supplies.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and forms are ready.
- Provide patient education to ensure comprehension of treatment plans and physician orders.
- Assist with minor office procedures and trauma care under physician supervision.
- Collaborate with medical students and residents to create a meaningful educational experience.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and uphold excellent customer service.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Registered Nursing degree.
- Licensure: Current license from the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Certification: Valid CPR certification (American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Professionals or American Heart Association BLS).
- Experience: 3 years of RN experience preferred, especially in Ambulatory or Home Health Care.
- Preferred: BSN degree and leadership skills.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to foster positive relationships in healthcare and educational settings.
Work Environment:
- Clinic-based patient care with minimal lifting (not greater than 10 pounds) and extensive computer usage.
- No travel required.
