We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrative/Intake Supervisor to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Administrative/Intake Department within the Pathways Forward of Dauphin County. This leadership role is responsible for supervising children’s and adult administrative/intake case management staff while ensuring high-quality, compliant, and coordinated mental health services.
Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Deputy Director of MH Services, the Administrative/Intake Supervisor provides leadership, oversight, and coordination of intake services. This position plays a key role in staff supervision, policy development, interagency collaboration, quality monitoring, and system coordination within the Dauphin County mental health system.

Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Administrative/Intake Department, including Children’s and Adult Administrative/Intake Case Managers.
- Supervise, train, orient, and evaluate Administrative/Intake Case Management staff.
- Monitor staff productivity weekly and provide monthly updates to the Deputy Director of MH Services.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state, county, and agency regulations, policies, and professional standards, including documentation accuracy and timeliness.
- Make recommendations regarding hiring, staffing patterns, and personnel actions.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor service quality and support policy/procedure development.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals and agencies unfamiliar with Dauphin County’s children’s and adult mental health system.
- Coordinate with other mental health supervisors to assign cases to appropriate levels of case management.
- Facilitate collaboration with community partners including Schaffner Youth Center, Juvenile Probation, Children and Youth, hospitals, schools, community agencies, and other county Behavioral Health Units.
- Participate in interagency workgroups and provide presentations regarding Pathways Forward mental health case management services.
- Oversee the Children’s Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) initiative, ensuring monthly face-to-face contact with RTF youth, participation in treatment team meetings, and discharge planning coordination.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with management, staff, and external provider agencies.
- Participate in agency-level planning, decision-making, and implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and maintain appropriate records and documentation.
- Attend management and planning meetings as required.
- Complete special projects and additional assignments as directed by the Director or Deputy Director of MH Services.
Preferred Experience & Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, nursing, counseling, education, criminal justice, theology, or a related social science field;
AND - Two (2) years of mental health direct care experience.
Minimum Experience & Training:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
AND - Three (3) years of mental health direct care experience.
Additional Requirements
- Access to a reliable vehicle is required.
- Act 33/34 clearances are required.
