Position Title: Administrative Clerk
Location: Aiken, SC
Position Summary: The Administrative Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Liquid Waste department by ensuring efficient office operations, accurate documentation management, and reliable data processing. Performs transcription, document preparation, and processing of completed work packages for records submission, and operates standard office equipment to support workflow. Adheres to established office, safety, and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- General office duties as required by Liquid Waste supervision
- Organize and proofread documents and e-mails
- Distribute reports
- Operate computer to extract data
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point and File maker-pro. software applications
- Establish and maintain filing systems
- Communicate problems to supervision
- Relay written and verbal communications promptly and accurately
- Follow office, safety and security procedures
- Operate copiers, faxes, scanners and other office equipment required to perform assignments.
- Perform clerical functions such as take dictation, transcribe, compile/arrange and type a variety of interoffice memoranda, letters, reports and other business correspondence.
- Receive, document, post and record statistical and confidential information.
- Answer telephone, take messages, relay or record information received and distribute
- Keep calendar for manager
- Processing completed work packages for records submittal
Qualifications
- Must pass SRS drug and alcohol screening and have had no previous record of drug or alcohol-related convictions.
- Minimum typing skills - forty-five (45) words per minute with 90% accuracy
- Proofreading and distributing documents maintaining 89% accuracy
- Operate computer to research, input, update or change data and manipulate software to achieve desired results
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point and File maker-pro. software applications
- Experience with SRS software (SmartPlant, Puridiom, Deltek, EDWS Documentum)
Education
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Hours:
- A 40-hour work week is scheduled.
- SRS utilizes a 4/l0's (10 hours/day; four days per week, Monday through Thursday) shift schedule.
- Work week excludes SRS holidays.
- Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.
- Normal work location for this position will be an office building or field office trailer.
