Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Job Overview: As CMT Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales and marketing activities of our organization. Your primary objective will be to develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance our market presence. You will lead a team of sales professionals, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve collective goals while leveraging external expertise through strategic partnerships with third-party marketing agencies and market research firms.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop Sales Strategies: Formulate comprehensive plans and strategies aligned with our company's vision to achieve business objectives, increase brand awareness, and drive sales growth.
· Sales Management: Develop and implement sales plans, set sales targets, and closely monitor sales team performance. Provide sales coaching, training, and support to ensure the achievement of sales goals and objectives.
· Relationship Building and Closing Sales: Lead efforts to secure new business by actively engaging in the sales cycle; from prospecting and qualifying opportunities to negotiating terms and closing deals that meet or exceed revenue targets.
· Quote Creation and Management: Develop and oversee the process of creating customized sales quotes for potential clients, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with the company's pricing strategy. Regularly review and update quote templates, negotiate terms, and collaborate with sales teams to optimize conversion rates.
· Technical Support: Conduct comprehensive technical reviews and provide detailed cost breakdowns to support client acquisition, using in-depth product knowledge and analytical skills to enhance the sales process and foster client trust in our value proposition.
· Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of sales executives and 1099 manufacturing reps providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
· Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry influencers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and address customer needs effectively.
· Marketing Collaboration: Partner closely with our internal marketing lead to align sales initiatives with targeted campaigns, market research, and competitive analysis. Develop strategies and materials that resonate with our audience, drive engagement, and support revenue growth.
· Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. Conduct financial analysis to evaluate ROI and make data-driven decisions.
· Reporting and Performance Tracking: Generate regular reports on sales activities, including key performance indicators (KPIs), sales forecasts, and market trends. Present findings to senior management and make strategic recommendations.
· Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sales and marketing. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
· Solid knowledge of castings, forgings, and machined parts, including production workflows, quality requirements, and supply chain dynamics.
· Proven experience in sales management, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards success.
· Excellent strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with the capacity to interpret market data and make data-driven decisions.
· In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, branding, and market segmentation.
