Creative Associate Producer

Part-time to start (10–20 hrs/week) → Growth into full-time

$25/hr performance bonuses

In-person, LA/OC-based only

I’m looking for an ambitious, organized, sharp, and proactive Associate Producer / Operations Coordinator to join my small but growing creative company, Brightboy. We do a mix of short films, music videos, commercials, and branded work. I’m a writer/director/DP building toward larger narrative and commercial projects, and I need someone who wants to grow with me.

This is not a typical “assistant” job, you will have real responsibility from day one. This is perfect for someone who wants to become a full producer within 1–2 years.

• Scheduling talent, crew, calls, meetings
• Coordinating locations, rentals, casting, deal memos
• Building lists (locations, talent, agencies, photographers)
• Managing budgets, estimates, and preparation on decks
• Handling contracts simple legal/insurance tasks
• Organizing pre-production logistics
• On-set producer support

• Building outreach lists
• Drafting pitch emails
• Sending reels decks
• Managing follow-up
• Tracking opportunities in a simple CRM
• Helping build Brightboy’s business pipeline

• Ingesting and organizing footage
• Exporting uploading to editors
• Managing versions, selects, and revisions
• Delivering files to clients
• Keeping everything organized and labeled cleanly

• Pulling references
• Assembling moodboards
• Assisting with deck building 
• Basic editing support if needed

• Some production experience (PA → Coordinator → Producer acceptable)
• Strong communication skills
• Comfort with Google Drive, Dropbox, basic spreadsheets
• Basic familiarity with set structure
• Able to move fast without sacrificing quality
• Able to work onsite in Orange County/Long Beach
• Available for shoots
• Driver’s license ability to pick up/drop off gear when needed

Bonus if you:

• Know basic editing (Premiere/FCP/Resolve)
• Are comfortable with outreach/sales follow-ups
• Are excited by narrative, music videos, and commercial work

This role is built for someone who wants to grow.

• Month 1–3 → Learning systems, taking over ops basic production tasks
• Month 3–6 → Running prep for small shoots, managing outreach
• Month 6–12 → Associate Producer on commercials shorts
• Year 1–2 → Full Producer: you run jobs, I direct
