Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Intake Specialist to support clients through the admissions process across our inpatient and outpatient programs. This role is essential in providing compassionate, individualized care by assessing client needs, coordinating intake procedures, and fostering smooth transitions between care levels.
Schedule: Friday, Saturday Sunday | 10 AM to 11:30PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains healthy rapport with each client.
- Observes and reports guests daily progress or regressions.
- Provides structure and support to all clients.
- Conducts intake assessments and orientation on all new admissions.
- Facilitates daily intervention and blocking resistant guests.
- Reinforces clinical schedule, group times, and program expectations.
- Builds positive relationships with peers, clinical, and medical staff.
- Attends meetings to support interdepartmental communication.
- Adheres and knowledgeable of all facility policy, procedure, and safety measures in place.
- Works closely with clinical and case management to support treatment plans and aftercare recommendations.
- Assist as needed in sending out reports including (shift reports, incidents, discharges, ama’s, hospital alerts)
- Provides a safe, therapeutic environment for staff and clients.
- Works closely with the Supervisor to communicate all concerns, safety risk, or immediate issues.
- Performs all duties delegated by Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Graduation from Highschool or GED preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar position or similar function preferred
- Maintains current CPR certification
- Knowledge of twelve-step program. Other required trainings such as HIPPA, Aggression Control, CPR and First Aid
- Background clearance required
